Poncho Crochet Pattern

This is a Beginner level pattern and can definitely be your first project if you have never crocheted before, no worries!





Beginner Level. This crochet project takes a few hours to complete.


Supplies



Stitches Used

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

hdc - half double crochet

dc - double crochet



Pattern Starts Here

Start by chaining 60, sl st into the first chain to create a circle/ring. Place your head through the circle to make sure it is big enough, if you can't fit your head, add chains just make sure the number you end with is EVEN and dividable by 3.


Row 1-3: ch1, hdc in each chain around, sl st into the first hdc (60 hdc total)


Row 4: ch3, place 2dc in the same stitch, *skip 2 stitches, place 3dc in the same stitch* repeat ** until you have 5 clusters of 3dc, skip 2 stitches, make a corner by (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in the same stitch, *skip 2 stitches, place 3dc in the same stitch* repeat ** until you have made 9 clusters of 3dc, skip 2 stitches,  make a corner by (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in the same stitch, *skip 2 stitches, place 3dc in the same stitch* repeat ** until you have made 4 clusters, sl st into the ch3 from the beginning to end.


Row 5-33: place 3dc in each space and (3dc, ch3, 3dc) in each corner space, sl st into ch3 to finish.

Fasten off.


How to make the Tassels:

Each tassel is 10 strands of 11inch strands of yarn. Please watch video tutorial to see how to tie the tassels.

Place Tassel in every other space between dc clusters in Row 33.
